Is it a rooftop bar, a beach club, or an urban garden? The 'Klunkerkranich' is simultaneously all of these! From here, the view extends over Neukölln's sea of red roofs. The queer community routinely gathers at the 'Klunkerkranich' for music and a changing programme of events in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. The routinely staged drag show 'Hive Tea' is particularly popular.

House of Weekend

The best place to see the TV Tower is from the 'House of Weekend' at Alexanderplatz. On the roof of the skyscraper on the 16th floor, you will have a breathtaking view over the centre of Berlin. You can savour it, for example, during the frequently scheduled gay party 'Up'. If the weather is bad, the party takes place indoors and the view is almost as beautiful through the venue's enormous windows.

Amano Rooftop-Bar

The rooftop bar of the 'Amano Hotel' is regarded as the mother of all Berlin's hotel rooftop bars. The chic boutique hotel in the centre of the Mitte district has long been a firm institution among bar-crawlers. In summer, locals and guests alike meet for that perfect drink at the cosy rooftop bar. Sometimes, the hotel also uses the roof terrace for exclusive events.

Zoe Dachterrasse

Hotel Zoe also has a rooftop bar that is open to the public. Located at Hackescher Markt in Berlin-Mitte, it is easily accessible and from here the terrace offers a magnificent view over the city. Because this bar is still relatively unknown, you can also surprise locals by suggesting a meeting here. This might even be a great place for a chic date!

Monkey Bar im 25h Hotel

In Charlottenburg, the western centre of Berlin, the '25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin' is one of the coolest places to stay in the city. The designer hotel is part of the 'Bikini' building, a modern renovated building from the 1950s that houses interesting shops and cafés. At the top of the hotel is the 'Monkey Bar'. Its name is derived from the fact that you are able to look directly into Berlin Zoo from here and the monkey house is right across the street.
