Hotels and Apartments: Queer Accommodation in Berlin

The numerous hotels in Berlin are almost as diverse as the queer scene itself. Some of them specialise in providing accommodation for lesbians, gays, and the queer community. Among them are international hotel chains, charming city hotels, accommodation for those traveling on a budget, holiday apartments, and even specially appointed flats for the leather and fetish community. Many hotels are located in the Regenbogenkiez at Nollendorfplatz in Berlin-Schöneberg, while others also cater to queer dreams in other parts of the city.

A hotel with a great tradition: famous queer guests stayed at Hotel Sachsenhof.

There are two Axel Hotels in Berlin. The Spanish hotel chain is completely geared towards gay travellers.

Axel and TWO Hotel by Axel belong to a stylish international hotel chain with two hotels in Berlin

The gay hotel chain Axel has two establishments in Berlin. With a wink, they like to describe their hotels as ‘hetero-friendly’. In reality, however, the number of heterosexuals who hang one of the "Please Disturb" signs on their door is undoubtably limited. While the Axel, located in the middle of the bustling neighbourhood of Nollendorfkiez in Berlin-Schöneberg, woos guests with both its ornate design in black and gold and a jacuzzi on the sixth floor, the TWO by Axel in Berlin-Wilmersdorf is synonymous with a relaxed holiday and provides guests with a gym and massage services.
