On July 13, Pride In Concert presents an exclusive concert by Conchita Wurst at Berlin’s Renaissance Theater: the Pre Pride Show. Set in the city’s landmark Renaissance Theater – whose architecture and décor still capture the spirit of the Roaring Twenties – the evening promises a captivating blend of raw emotion and high-voltage energy. It's the perfect way to kick off Berlin’s Pride season this July.

We asked Conchita a few questions about the upcoming show:

The Pre Pride Show as part of Pride In Concert is an exclusive concert. What can you tell us about the show and the idea behind your Pride performances in general?

Conchita:
Yes, the Pre Pride Show is very much a preview of a new program. Since making the decision to move beyond the Eurovision chapter of my career, I’ve rediscovered a sense of freedom and joy in my stage persona, Conchita Wurst. I’m genuinely excited to perform as Conchita again for the community she originally emerged from and was created for.

What kind of songs can audiences expect? Conchita classics? Cover versions? Or will you also perform tracks from your 2019 album Truth Over Magnitude, which had a more club-oriented sound?

Conchita:
My concerts have always been about blending genres and encouraging people to look beyond their usual musical boundaries. This program is no different—it combines Conchita favorites with iconic sing-along hits from queer pop culture. And of course, the big ballads will have their place, too. As always with Conchita: expect the unexpected!

After the concert, guests are invited to stay and mingle at the bar in the Bruckner Café of the Renaissance Theater, which will remain open until 11:00 PM
